Plan around the crowds

Find a little more room.

The beach matters. So does when you go. Use seasonal estimates and local beach guides to plan a day with more space.

When are Mallorca’s beaches busiest?

  1. 01 / Summer

Make space part of the plan.

Popular beaches and small coves can feel busy quickly. Check the beach guide, allow time for access and have an alternative ready.

  2. 02 / Spring & autumn

    Expect more variation.

Warm weekends can feel very different from weekdays. A seasonal estimate gives context, but cannot see a sunny-day surge or an event.

  3. 03 / Winter

    Put conditions first.

Beaches are generally quieter. Cold water, wind and shorter days still shape the visit. Check which services operate outside summer.

Look beyond “quiet”.

A little cove and a long sandy bay offer very different days. Compare crowd patterns alongside access and facilities.

A small cove

Caló des Moro ↗

Read about limited space, access and seasonal crowds before making the trip.

A long sandy beach

Playa de Muro ↗

Compare the different parts of the bay. Facilities and access vary along the beach.

A more remote beach

Es Caragol ↗

Check the walk and facilities. Fewer services can make a quieter visit less practical for your group.

Know what the label means.

Crowd estimates do not change the conditions score.

How it works ↗
Typical patterns
Reviewed guide information about a beach, such as summer pressure or busy access points. Useful for planning ahead.
Seasonal estimate
A provisional model for the visit period shown. It uses season, time, weekends and popularity. It has not been checked against local observations.
Recent observation
A count or report from a known source, with a location and observation time. We do not currently provide these.

Before you choose.

Are these live crowd counts?

No. The crowd labels are seasonal estimates. A model update does not mean somebody has just counted people on the beach.

Does “quiet” mean empty?

No. It describes a broad model category, not a head count or a guarantee of space. Check the visit period shown.

Does crowding affect the score?

Not while the estimates remain unvalidated. Conditions scores compare the weather and sea. You can use the quiet filter as a separate planning preference.

Why do some beaches have no estimate?

We lack suitable inputs or a valid forecast for that visit. Missing data never means a beach is quiet.

Can I find a guaranteed quiet beach?

No. Crowds can change with weather, events and access. Use the guide to choose an alternative that also fits your group.
