    What is S'Illot like?

S'Illot is a small sandy bay where the Torrent de n'Amer stream meets the sea. Most of the beach belongs to Manacor and the rest to Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The big bridge over the stream marks the border between the two municipalities.

How do I get to S'Illot, and where do I park?

S'Illot is easy to reach by car: follow the signs. The nearest bus stop is about 50 m from the beach. TIB line 424, between Cala Ratjada and Porto Cristo, stops at S'Illot, and so does line A42 between Cala Bona and the airport.

What are the sand and water like at S'Illot?

S'Illot has a wide stretch of sand that slopes gently into the sea. In July 2026 Manacor reported an exceptional amount of seaweed on the beach, which its technicians called unprecedented.

    What facilities does S'Illot have?

S'Illot has lifeguards in season, under Manacor's beach rescue service. Under the contract Manacor announced in June 2024, S'Illot was a medium-risk beach, with lifeguards from 10:00 to 17:00 in May and October, to 19:00 in June and September, and to 19:30 in July and August. In July 2026 Manacor moved S'Illot from medium to high risk and added a lifeguard and a rescue module. The council's beach service hires out sunbeds and parasols, and Manacor has installed public toilets at its urban beaches, S'Illot included. In summer 2025 the council offered assisted bathing for people with disabilities here.

    When is S'Illot busiest?

S'Illot gets very crowded with families and tourists. In July 2026 Manacor gave the high number of users as one reason for moving the beach into its high-risk class.

    Which winds affect S'Illot?

East and south-east winds push waves into S'Illot, by our estimate from its orientation of about 110°, east-south-east. West and north-west winds blow off the land, so those days bring the calmest water.

What should I watch out for at S'Illot?

At S'Illot, the Govern's tests rated the water excellent in 2024 and 2025, at a sampling point in the middle of the beach. Lifeguards work only in season and at set hours, so at other times swim with someone else. S'Illot is on the Govern's smoke-free beach list, so do not smoke on the sand. It is not on ADEAC's 2026-2027 Blue Flag list.
