    What is Peguera (Torà) like?

Platja de Torà is an urban sand beach in Peguera, Calvià, at the start of the town's Boulevard. It is also known as Peguera Torà. Promenades and an open square flank the sand, and the beach links up with Peguera's two other large beaches, La Romana and Palmira. Its water hosts the swim leg of the Challenge Peguera Mallorca triathlon, usually in the second or third week of October.

How do I get to Peguera (Torà), and where do I park?

Coming from Palma, you reach Torà by the first exit signed for Peguera and La Romana. There are several free places to park around the beach, just as you enter the town. Buses stop close by, at the start of the Peguera Boulevard, and line 122 between Port d'Andratx and Santa Ponça runs through Peguera. By road, Andratx is 7 km away.

What are the sand and water like at Peguera (Torà)?

Torà is an artificial sand beach with calm water and a gentle slope into the sea. Official figures for its length range from 326 m to 500 m, and the council's sheet gives a width of 60 m. Torà also has a pine area that gives some natural shade.

What facilities does Peguera (Torà) have?

At Torà you will find lifeguards and a Red Cross post, plus showers, toilets and walkways across the sand. The council sheet counts 588 sunloungers, 291 parasols, 3 showers and one public toilet. You can hire pedal boats, kayaks and paddle boards, some of them electric. There is a children's play area, beach volleyball and restaurants. In Calvià, beach services operate between 15 March and 30 November. In June 2026 Calvià listed Torà among its beaches holding the Q de Calidad, a tourism quality flag.

    When is Peguera (Torà) busiest?

Torà is a very busy beach in summer, although the council's technical sheet gives it a medium occupancy rating. Calvià publishes live occupancy for the Peguera beaches, updated every 10 minutes, so you can check before you set off.

    Which winds affect Peguera (Torà)?

By our estimate from its orientation, about 210° (south-south-west), Torà takes waves when the wind blows from the south or south-west. A northerly or north-easterly comes off the land and leaves the water flatter.

What should I watch out for at Peguera (Torà)?

At Torà you may not swim at the breakwaters or in other signed zones (council rules). Pets, fires, camping, street selling and fishing are banned, and soap is not allowed in the beach showers. The Govern's water tests at the centre of the beach rated it excellent in 2024 and 2025.
